Center for Designing Foods to Improve Nutrition

About The Center

The Center for Designing Foods to Improve Nutrition (CDFIN) was
established at Iowa State University to conduct and foster
interdisciplinary research to improve human nutrition and promote good
health through new and traditional foods.

CDFIN is reorganizing and now falls under the Nutrition and Wellness
Research Center (NWRC) organizational umbrella. Researchers from both
groups are now working together to investigate relationships among dietary
components, physical activity, and lifestyle that influence chronic disease
risk.

CDFIN activities are being incorporated into the Nutrition and Wellness
Research Center and are based in NWRC's campus location.
